Did you know that you can inherit trauma from your parents and ancestors?This concept has become a profound revelation to me as I delve deeper into my Family Constellation and Ancestral Trauma course. The insights I am gaining are not only transforming my understanding of personal healing but are also reshaping my perspective on collective healing.Though I have known about Family Constellation for a long time, my interest was reignited when I watched the Netflix series "Another Self" two years ago. <img src="https://letcheck.b-cdn.net/1777/clysm2vsm0cwjj89nevyqh117.jpg" style="width: 100%; height: auto; cursor: pointer;" draggable="true">This reintroduction sparked a deeper curiosity within me, leading me to explore this field more intensely. Now, as I immerse myself in this study, I find myself fascinated and inspired by the new realm of possibilities it opens up in my work.As someone who has always been rationally oriented, I used to shy away from concepts that didn’t offer definitive answers to my inquisitive mind. However, I always respected these approaches from a distance, acknowledging, "Everyone has their path, but this is not mine." My journey started with a strong inclination toward the path of knowledge (jnana yoga), engaging in processes like self-inquiry with influences from both Eastern sages like Ramana Maharshi and Western teachers like Byron Katie. Gradually, I found myself drawn into the path of devotion (bhakti yoga) through Nirgun bhakti poetry and Sufi music.These explorations opened me up to realms beyond rationality. My journey into understanding trauma and somatic work complemented my cognitive approaches, and learning about ancestral trauma has revealed even more magical possibilities. It is truly fascinating to see how many of our unconscious patterns and traumas have roots in our ancestors. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to learn and experience this realm.
